Sound and noise insulation

There are many sources of strong noise and vibration in the car. Engine noise, gearboxes, suspension operation, the rattle of plastic elements, stone impacts, sand and water splashing against the body and sides – all of them create different sounds that reach the cabin in one way or another. The result is a noise background that lulls the driver to sleep, against which the passengers can only speak in a raised tone of voice.

Complex noise isolation helps to solve this problem. In addition to noise reduction, it has the following important functions:

reduction of heat transfer between the car and the surrounding environment – in winter, the interior retains heat well, while in summer it protects against heat;

improving the sound characteristics of the sound system – the sound becomes more pleasant, cleaner and clearer;

the car body can be protected from corrosion.

In addition, after the installation of complex noise insulation, the car behaves more concretely when cornering and does not vibrate as a result of the noise caused by passing trucks or other large-sized vehicles.

Installation of complex noise insulation takes just one day. We work so quickly and with high quality thanks to the long-term experience gained every day. In addition, not one technician will work on your car, but a whole brigade of masters.

First, the interior of the car is disassembled: the seats, the details of the decorative panels and the floor mats are removed. Then the cabin is cleaned with a vacuum cleaner, all metal surfaces are dried and degreased.

After preparing the car, we treat all surfaces: doors, hood, trunk, floor and roof. First, all surfaces are covered with a vibration absorber. In turn, a sound-absorbing or heat-insulating material is installed on it, depending on the characteristics and construction of a specific area of the car. Next, a sound insulation layer is installed on the floor of the car salon.

In the final phase of the complex noise insulation treatment, the interior details are put back in place.

For information ! For best results, a vibration reducing layer, a sound insulating layer and a noise damping layer must be installed.



The engine hood becomes a source of loud noise when the engine is running and when the car is moving. Acoustic and mechanical vibrations are transferred from the hood to the body, resulting in a humming sound. As a result, the driver gets tired after a few hours of driving. If you have to drive a long distance, you often get a headache.

This problem can easily be eliminated by vibration isolation of the engine hood, which makes the hood lid stiffer and less susceptible to resonant vibrations.

Engine hood processing takes about 30 minutes. We work so quickly because of our extensive experience in cutting out material and installing vibration dampening materials on any type of vehicle.

We start by preparing the surface for processing: we remove the lining (if any), wash, dry and degrease the metal surfaces.

We then apply a light and maximally effective vibration absorbing layer and reinstall the original lining (if it was present).

Please note! To achieve the best result, it is recommended to install a vibration isolation and a sound insulation layer.


Car doors – sources of strong external noise and vibration. A large amount of audio frequency noise enters the cabin through the thin metal sheet of the doors. Driving the car becomes unpleasant, while the sound of the speakers installed in the doors is interrupted at any volume. Noise reduction is necessary to reduce the noise level and improve the acoustic sound characteristics of the cabin. As a result of this procedure, the interior will be noticeably quieter and the music will sound much more pleasant.

Processing of doors takes only 5 hours. The combination of factory recommendations and personal experience allows us to install sound insulation quickly and with high quality.

Lightened material specially developed for the needs of the aircraft industry is used for sound insulation of the doors. In doing so, the actual weight of the door changes relatively little.

First, we remove the decorative panels of your car door and prepare the surface for treatment: we remove rust and dirt, dry and degrease the metal surfaces.

First, we cover the inner surface of the door with a vibration-absorbing layer, which reduces the level of self-vibration of the structure. Second layer – sound absorbing material. It is necessary to absorb and dissipate the energy of sound waves coming from outside the car. In addition, the layer of sound absorbing material helps to improve the quality of the sound image of the speakers installed in the car.

We close the technological openings with the third layer – vibration absorbing material. Thanks to this, a “speaker box” closed to the sound system is formed, in which the loudspeaker starts working. This third layer also works as an additional vapor barrier.

We treat the decorative panels of the door with a sound-absorbing material to remove the racks. Then we reassemble the door.

As a result of this procedure, the cabin will be noticeably quieter and the music will sound much more pleasant.


The roof is a thin and resonant metal surface in the car structure. In summer, it heats up and conducts the heat in the cabin, while in winter, considerable heat loss occurs through it. When it rains, the raindrops make a loud noise when they fall on the roof, but when it hails, small dents can be left on the roof.

The problem can be solved by noise insulation. Thanks to the treatment, the roof becomes stronger and the noise caused by precipitation is reduced. In addition, the pleasant temperature level in the cabin remains longer than before.

The installation of the noise insulation of the roof takes approximately 3 hours with us.

First we remove the inner cover panel using special pullers and other special tools. Then we remove the factory-installed noise insulation (if any). We only remove the factory-installed vibration absorbing material if it is worn out or if it has been poorly installed at the vehicle manufacturer’s factory.

Then we clean, degrease the surface and apply the first layer – vibration absorbing material. This adds rigidity to the roof and makes it more vibration resistant.

In the next step, a noise-absorbing layer is installed, which, thanks to its viscous structure, not only absorbs internal and external noise, but also improves the acoustic properties of the interior. Moreover, such a layer has excellent thermal insulation properties.

After the work is completed, the original cover panel is reassembled in its place.

Important! In the case of a vehicle with a sunroof or panoramic roof, the effect may not be as great as with a normal roof.


The floor is one of the most problematic places in a vehicle. Through this, the tire noise generated during driving and the sounds caused by the stones, sand and water thrown up due to the rotation of the wheels reach the cabin. Moreover, the car base is connected through the body to sources of noise and vibration such as the engine, gearbox, wheel arches and other suspension elements. As a result, the car interior is filled with external sounds, which are especially intensely felt when the road surface is poor or when driving at high speed.

The solution to the problem is high-quality noise insulation, which not only frees you from noise disturbances, but also reduces the vehicle’s heat exchange with the surrounding environment.

Floor treatment takes a total of six hours. The speed of the work is easy to explain: we have been dealing with noise insulation solutions for many years and know how to do it quickly and with high quality.

  • To begin with, we remove the front and rear rows of seats from the cabin and carefully dismantle the floor covering panels. Then we clean and degrease the metal surfaces.
  • As the first layer, we install a vibration-absorbing material, the purpose of which is to dampen the natural vibration frequency of the floor of the car salon.
  • As a second layer, we apply noise-absorbing or heat-insulating material, depending on the technical characteristics of the vehicle’s construction.
  • As the third layer, we glue a sound barrier layer over it. None of the layers attached to the floor absorb moisture. In addition, these layers protect the bottom of the car from corrosion.
  • After installing the sound insulation layers, we put all the floor covering panels and seats back in place.

Good to know! Depending on the specific characteristics of the vehicle, it may not be possible to install a full multi-layer noise insulation.

Front panel area

The front panel (“torpedo”) is the main source of rattles and squeaks regardless of the vehicle class. Such sounds occur due to the lack of quality and structural integrity of the plastic parts. The front panel consists of a very large number of different parts that are attached with clamps, pullers, self-drilling screws or just a dowel. Over time, however, any type of mount will give way (sometimes even break), resulting in looseness and resulting noise and creaking. In addition, noise is generated by details that are hidden under the panel: electrical wiring, cable fasteners, heating system units that are not fixed rigidly and may come into contact with the plastic parts of the front panel while driving.

Processing of the front panel takes approximately six hours. Our specialists do such work every day, thanks to which the work is done not only quickly, but also with high quality.

  • First we dismantle the front panel. Then we prepare the surface for applying materials: clean and degrease.
  • Next, we install a vibration dampener along the entire front panel (“torpedo”) to reduce vibration and achieve additional sound insulation. If there is a possibility of access, the partition between the engine compartment and the cabin from the cabin side is treated in the same way.
  • As a second coating, a sound absorbing material is installed, which creates an acoustic shield and seals the panel to prevent its internal parts from touching the body. The thickness of the noise-absorbing material is chosen based on the special features of the vehicle’s construction. If there is a possibility of access, the partition between the engine compartment and the cabin from the cabin side is treated in the same way.
  • Then we treat the ventilation holes and the end surfaces of the plastic parts with an anti-creaking material.
  • We assemble the front panel and put all the parts back in place.
  • You can spend time in our relaxation area and watch the soundproofing work being done on your vehicle while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee.

Luggage compartment

Through the trunk of the car, noise of a different nature reaches the cabin: from the contact of pebbles, water and sand with the rear wings and wheel wells, noise from the exhaust pipe, which is amplified several times by the spare wheel well. Moreover, the rear speakers increase the noise level, especially if they are of the low-frequency type. In this case, when the volume is increased, there is also a strong buzzing and vibration. As a result, it is not possible to talk in the car cabin without raising your voice, and driving in the back seat is extremely uncomfortable.

Noise isolation can be used to reduce the penetration of external noise and improve the sound image of the sound system. An additional advantage is less heat exchange with the surrounding environment and quiet closing of the trunk lid.

  • The installation of noise insulation in the luggage compartment takes approximately 4 hours. For our professionals, this is a normal job that we do every day. That is why the processing of the trunk is done so quickly and with high quality.
  • To begin with, we remove the floor mats and side cover panels from the trunk using special tools. After removing the lining and panels, we prepare the surface of the luggage compartment for processing: we clean and degrease the metal surfaces.
  • Let’s start by installing the noise insulation in the area with the most vibration – the rear wheel arches. We apply a maximally thick and effective layer of vibration absorbing material to this area.
  • We also glue vibration-absorbing material to the bottom of the trunk and the rear wings of the car body.
  • To achieve the maximum result, we cover the bottom of the trunk, the rear wheel wells and the rear wings with a layer of sound absorbing material. In cases where a layer of soundproofing material cannot be installed on the floor of the luggage compartment due to the specifics of the vehicle’s construction, we install a thermal insulation layer instead.
  • As the third layer, we glue a sound barrier layer over it. All installed materials also protect the trunk from corrosion.
  • We put all the cover panels and mat details back in place.

Wheel wells

Vehicle wheel wells – a source of low-frequency noise, in which noise is generated during movement when the suspension and undercarriage come into contact with the road surface, sand and water. In the area of the wheel wells, the sheet metal is quite thin, and there is mostly no factory-installed noise insulation here. Therefore, any sound and vibration easily enters the cabin. Considering the condition of the roads, this is a real problem for both the driver and the passengers. To solve the problem, we treat the wheel wells of the vehicle from the outside with vibration damping material and special mastic.

  • The entire procedure lasts approximately 3 hours, but it takes a day for the mastic to dry completely.
  • We start by carefully disassembling the wheels and carefully clean the wheel wells of dirt. We dry the wheel wells with a special heat blower and degrease the metal surfaces.
  • Then we apply mastic, which forms a durable coating after drying. In addition to solving the noise problem, the mast also provides corrosion protection, as it does not absorb or let moisture through.
  • As the next step, we also process logs (if they exist and are not made of fabric). Initially, we clean the logs from dirt, then dry and degrease them.
  • Then we apply a layer of vibration-absorbing material to the loggers throughout, which helps dampen the transmission of sound and vibrations caused by external influences.
  • In the final stage of processing, we install all the removed parts, logs and wheels back in place.

The treatment of wheel arches and logarithms significantly reduces the driving noise generated by the tyres. It also reduces the noise caused by flying stones.
