DENT REMOVAL

ADVANTAGES OF DENT REMOVAL WITHOUT STAINING

  • Dent removal allows you to restore the original appearance of a damaged part without damaging the paintwork.

  • It eliminates the need to use filler, abrasives and many other materials used in car services in such cases.

  • There is no need to dismantle the detail during the repair and no need for additional dismantling, which is time consuming.

  • Repairs take significantly less time. It takes between 20 minutes and 3 hours to repair a single trap.

  • After the repair, your car will not fall into the repainted car category. The Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) method saves money and time. Every dent is different, either in size or location, and there are many ways to remove it.

On average, it takes between 30 minutes and 3 hours to remove a single dent, and the repair costs are several times less than traditional painting.

The use of thinner and stronger metals in recent years is allowing the new technology to become an alternative to the traditional and, until recently, the only way to remove defects – bodyshell bending followed by painting.

The flexible and durable structure of lacquer paint is maintained even when the body is subjected to severe deformation. In most cases, it is practically impossible to detect defects after repair.

Important to know! The dent cannot be removed from parts where the paint is damaged, where there are sharp edges or where the dent is very large (in the event of an accident).

REPAIR OF HAIL DAMAGE

To get rid of surface damage caused by hailstones, it is usually not necessary to repaint the car or replace a damaged body part.

Removing dents without painting the body – the car’s paintwork cannot be damaged and hail-damaged parts do not need repainting. This is a much cheaper solution than replacing a damaged part.

Important! The charge for removing hail dents is determined on a car-by-car basis and depends on the number of damaged parts, the location of the dents and the difficulty of access.

The PDR method can usually be used to remove dents caused by, for example:

opening car doors with care;

fruit branches, chestnuts and other fruit falling on the car body;

children playing carelessly with the ball:

as a result of a natural disaster, e.g. hail.

REMOVAL OF THE DENTS FOR PAINT PREPARATION

Dents with sharp edges or cracked paint are the most difficult and costly to remove. Such dents require not only sanding but also mandatory painting. Our service includes dent removal as one of the activities in preparing the surface for painting. This step reduces the amount of materials (e.g. filler) used in the painting process and avoids the need to replace parts completely. Removing dents before plastering also ensures that there is less post-drying in the paint layers (surface warping and sanding marks on the areas to be plastered).

After removing the dents, we recommend that you contact a painter as soon as possible to prevent corrosion underneath the cracked coating.

REMOVAL OF DENTS
WITHOUT COLOURING

The use of thinner and stronger metals in recent years is allowing the new technology to become an alternative to the traditional and, until recently, the only way of removing defects - buffing the car body with subsequent painting.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Unfortunately, for owners of old cars (20 years and older), PDR technology is mostly not helpful. The quality of the lacquer coating and the quality of the metal does not allow for repairs of guaranteed quality. However, it is worth consulting the specialists at our centre for a more accurate assessment. Sharp-edged dents and sometimes very large dents are also not subject to the treatment. In one case the metal is very compressed and in another case it is overstretched.

Unfortunately, dent removal technology may not help owners of older cars (15 years and older). The quality of the paint finish and metal does not always allow for a guaranteed quality repair. This is particularly critical if the car has been overpainted and the dents have been filled with filler. However, there are still options. To do this, send us a photo, or consult a specialist.

In itself, a dent cannot reappear after removal.

It is said that a dent can create micro-fractures in the paint through which moisture is absorbed and causes corrosion. With a normal dent in a relatively new car, this sort of thing doesn't happen because the paint is very plastic. However, if the car is too old, or the dents too sharp, this can happen. Considering that dents on the body of the car can be caused by stones, and they don't cause you any particular inconvenience, microcracks don't cause any major damage. In such cases, the detail can always be repainted, and removing the dents is a practical matter. The most difficult places to remove dents are around the bonnet and wings, as well as around the reinforcement strips. However, only a master craftsman can judge the likelihood of a successful repair.
